Scott's Jag goes home

 Good morning Folks,

Well, Yellow Jaguar went home yesterday!  It took quite awhile to get the correct hoses then it turned into a son of a gun to get the bottom hose to fit correctly.  It really wasn't very interesting so I haven't added to the blog for awhile but since I kinda left it hanging I thought I'd better finish it up.

Well, not sure why I included this picture other than to show you that the coolant pipe hoses were connected up, Scott should never have to worry about the bulkhead pipes again with the new ones being stainless steel.

The hose fitting for the lower radiator hose was a two piece affair with a metal pipe in between, even with the second set of hoses it was cut and fit and repeat, what a PITA.

Naturally the first hose clamp was stripped and had to be cut off

The replacement hoses are on the left and as you can see there is no way that they are going to replace the one on the right!

No matter how you arrange them

I didn't like the looks of this piece

Cleaned up just a bit

Scott said the interior light didn't work and I had thought II had found the culprit when I found where the mouse had damaged the wire on the passenger front footwell.  I was a little surprised when it didn't work so finally tracked it down to this connector that wouldn't connect ;-) Sometimes these 50 year old connectors break inside and the only thing you can do is replace them.  The light worked once again.

I did a little bit of cleaning on the car while I was waiting for Scott to have time to come out and pick up YJ

Heading out!

Well, that's it for now.
Cheers,
Lynn
